The final test result taken into account when determining compliance with the requirements is, depending on the test method used:
- the worst result obtained during testing (in the case of qualitative tests, e.g. flammability testing)
or
- the arithmetic mean of the measurement results obtained during testing of the number of samples required by the testing standard (in the case of quantitative tests, i.e. when the measurement result is a number).
Measurement uncertainty when determining compliance with the requirements
Unless agreements with the Client, regulations or normative documents provide otherwise, the laboratory applies the simple binary acceptance rule (without a guard band) acc. ILAC-G8:09/2019, Clause 4.2.1.

Decision-making bodies may apply a decision-making principle other than the one adopted above, which may affect the result of the statement of compliance.
